Other Cleveland State highlights included Brent Moore of Virginia defeating Ohio State's Luke Pletcher at 141 and Chris Vassar, a Cedar Cliff graduate who wrestles for Gardner-Webb, winning at 149 and defeating Sam Krivus of Virginia along the way.​

I guess you can't blame Carlson for citing Brent Moore as being from Virginia, since that's how Track has him listed in the brackets (he was wrestling unattached from Virginia Tech), but Track does show that Pletcher MFF'd to Moore in the finals.

Va Tech's other winner was David McFadden, who got 5 matches in on what looks to be his fully-recovered surgically repaired knee he banged up in MSG en route to 6th place. In Cleveland, he went: Tech, Tech, Major, Fall in 2:03 and Fall in 2:04. I'd say that was a highlight.
