aTm is tied for 1st in SEC at 5-1. Assuming aTm beats Auburn, they're playing Texas for one of the spots in SEC CG last week of season.

So if aTm wins, who would likely be the other SEC CG participant - I would assume UGa, but not sure of the SEC tie-breakers. In any event, assuming it is UGa - this could create a real mess in terms of SEC in Final CFP Rankings for Playoffs. Would assume a 3-loss aTm would be out, but that would potentially leave Bama, 'Ole Miss, Texas and Tennessee all with 2 losses - they all can't be in.

That UT-A&M game is going to be wild. It possibly being for first place in the SEC is just fueling the fire. I would love to attend that game, College Station is going to be fired up. Tickets are going for a small fortune. The Aggies despise UT and after not playing them for many years a lot of built up anger is going to spill out that day. That is likely to be the craziest game environment of the season.

So aTm was ranked 15th in last weeks CFP Ranking (Texas 3), I think it's a safe bet that BYU and Tennessee stay in front of them and they remain 15th. Let's assume they stay in about the same positions (aTm 15 and Texas 3), how far does Texas drop with a loss? aTm probably moves up a handful of places with a win and SEC CG berth, but would likely drop back out with a 3rd loss in CCG. In that scenario, UGa automatically in. Do they drop Texas behind Bama and 'Ole Miss (don't think they would move them behind Tennessee)... but that would leave Texas and Tennessee on the bubble.

Depends on how the game plays out. It's not all that different from the Ole Miss/UGA game a few weeks back. UGA was 3 Ole Miss was 16. UGA dropped from 3 to 12 after losing to ole miss and UGA has better wins than Texas.

I guess we have to root for Texas. We dont want 5 teams from the SEC much less 6.

Texas, A&M, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi could all finish with 2 losses prior to the SEC championship game.

Will also be interesting to see how far they drop Indiana.... I predict they drop Indiana to the bubble setting up leaving Texas in front of them if Texas lost to aTm in last week. I think you could see 5 SEC teams with 2 losses in Playoff (only 3 b2g teams), 1 ACC, 1 B12, Boise and ND.

You could see this same scenario if Texas beats aTm in last game and then losses to UGa in CCG. I'm guessing you will see this set up by Indiana falling to the bubble position (i.e., ranked behind Tennessee because it doesn't matter if they are ranked in Top 12 in front of Miami and Boise as ACC, B12 and Boise get auto-bids).
