Authoritarian government and US Constitution

The basis for US Democracy is our Constitution. Most of the Constitution will need to be scrapped if we ever have an authoritarian government.
Our rights in most cases would have to be restricted or done away with:
Freedom of Speech
Freedom of assembly
Voting
Freedom of Press
Freedom of religion
Gun ownership
Rule of Law

Just look to Communist China, North Kores, Russia, and similar countries/governments. They all have 'strong man leaders' who have almost unlimited powers/authority. Currently it seems the Repub Party is leaning in that direction. I find that very disturbing and cause for concern.
