LOL, I guess this is the one time that living in the Mt. Vernon area of Balto. really pays off.
Great game and game atmosphere. I thought it was a pretty even split of fan bases.
One thing though, there sure are a lot of either mixed marriages or relationships, lots of terps
and PSU gear together.
For the game it was a lot of hands on my head wondering WTF we were doing to jumping up and down.
Not sure what Donovan was doing I didn't see any kind of plan of attack on offense.
It was pretty much try and keep Hack upright and chuck the ball down the field. It worked but I wasn't impressed with the play calling. O-line did ok considering MD was bringing the house a lot.
I still think Hack is in the gun too much and spends too much time going back and forth with the
defense.
Our WR's did a really nice job and yes for those not attending we did have separation...a lot of it.
They made some really nice catches although I thought Godwin pushed off on his TD. Lewis's TD was really
a nice throw by Hack and some really good hands by Lewis. I did think the Terps DB's were awfully grabby.
I thought there should have been a few flags for PI.
Our Defense did ok, they weren't very good in the second or 3rd quarter but really picked it up in the fourth.
But gees someone tell our DB's to just knock it down. We spent the entire 1st quarter inside the 15 because of that and we lost about 20+ yards on the int on 4th down.
I like our LB'rs and Bell played really well at times, I still think he's gimpy. but Reeder and Cabinda were caught flat footed at times. Also didn't seem like our DE's learned much from last week because they were biting really hard on the fakes. Nassib had a really good 2nd half and Johnson was a beast all game.
Dan P. punted better but INMO he's 100x better in a typical punt formation instead of the rugby style.
Bottom line it was a win and all wins are good and we are bowl eligible.
I think we can beat Illinois and hopefully get 1 more of either NW, Michy or MSU.
Fun evening.
