6-1 in 12 innings. hopefully they can start getting some wins against eastern and big 10 foes, after a rugged start against a very difficult non-conference schedule. frankly, Cooper took over a program that was in even worse shape than what Chambers took over. the previous coaching staff left the cupboard bare if legitimate D-1 talent, Its going to take a few years for this program to get on its feet, but I think the current staff is recruiting the smart way by targeting PA talent and surrounding states. Believe me, the previous staff burned a lot of bridges with their arrogance toward the quality of baseball found in PA and this staff is working overtime to repair the damage.

Hopefully this team can take the next step of winning more conference games this season than the handful won last year. and then build on that. one thing that they need to do is dial back the early season schedule of playing teams like Texas A&M, South Carolina, and other top 25 programs until we have better talent. It just seems like an unnecessary "kick in the teeth".
