I'll celebrate when Wally Breen gives us the metrics.Great get! 22 offers, including Bama, Ga, Auburn, etc. Welcome Mr. Parker!

All the metrics point that way."Iowa still has more momentum."
Metrics>no metrics. All the metrics point that way.
I too hate the metric system......Metrics>no metrics.

I'll celebrate when Brutus Buckeye gets shoulder bumped into a nest of paper wasps...
They just landed two 5* WRs in the past 24 hours with rumors of adding at least one more very soon. So I hope we get some elite DBs to match up.
Parker is a very good get. No sense worrying about a flip -- that's just part of recruiting. Only way I'd see that happening is if Bama strikes out on their top DL targets (which is unlikely). The state of Alabama's defensive talent in the 2023 class is absolutely mind-blowing. Parker would be a Bama priority in almost any other year. Works out well for us.
Scott doing a very nice job recruiting the DL the past few classes.
Definitely need talent across the board on defense, but in one of Diaz's discussions he talked about pressuring the QB which obviously helps the secondary by not having to cover as long. Forcing the QB to get rid of the ball sooner than what he is used to in games against other teams. DDS, Parker and the other DE's, and it seems that Diaz had blitzed LB's frequently. They just landed two 5* WRs in the past 24 hours with rumors of adding at least one more very soon. So getting Robinson and Rojas and probably a 3rd LB for the class that are athletic enough to get to the QB on blitzes would be a pretty high priority for Diaz....
Missed you lately, MCL. I always enjoy the sport of trying to decipher what you are posting about. There are the occasional times when your posts are reminiscent of the young lady on Yellowstone who speaks with a chaw in her mouth and almost nobody knows what she is talking about. It’s all good and she is at times integral to the story line. MCL, keep ‘em rolling!I didn't albow Chad out of spite- if anything he should have embraced that as rite of passage- your first albow you really took at the JCC. That's a McCloudersport Norf rite of passage, your first real 80s NBA 80s JCC alblows at the J.
Just count to 10.I too hate the metric system......

Woo hoo! Now that's more like it! 4 stars, rivals overall 175 and trending up, offer sheet impressive! Kudos to FRANKLIN and the staff! Credit when credit is deserved and criticism when criticism is deserved.Parker!
Moore is a Longshot but yes...Will be interesting to see how Diaz differs from Pry in that sense. Pry was a very solid DC, but the blitzes are risky when you're lining up against the kind of WR talent that an OSU throws at you. You better get home or at least make the QB uncomfortable......otherwise, the secondary is under enormous pressure. And OSU is bringing in WR talent at a whole different level than they have previously. We really need the DL to be able to get pressure without a lot of help from LBs or safeties. Guys like DDS and Parker are a good start in that department.
Jason Moore is another talent that would be fantastic to add. Sounds like it's a PSU, ND, OSU race.......ND probably out front a bit.
Personally I blame President Carter for the almost universal disdain that exists in this country for the metric system and, no, I'm never letting go...I too hate the metric system......
That's just not sustainable. They must have like a dozen top 100 overall with most being 5 star WRs brought in the last 4 recruiting classes. At some point, the WRs are going to learn that the path to play is maybe 50/50 at best for top 100 talent. You had a 1st team All-American WR last year that couldn't get playing time at Ohio St so instead went to Alabama and became a 1st round draft pick. They just landed two 5* WRs in the past 24 hours with rumors of adding at least one more very soon. So about that Jameson Williams model, your claim is that the best WR recruits all find it appealing that even though they could have 1st round talent, that instead they mostly sit for a few years of their college career as Ohio St recruits over them and then throw all of their chips on transferring to a top school and getting noticed with only 1 year remaining? They've gotten 3 top-50 WRs in 3 days, and rumor is they're about the land the #1 WR in 2024.......and they lead for the #2 and #3 WRs in the 2024 class. It's absolutely insane.
I guess the thinking is, the best of the best will win out, and those who don't will transfer. But at least before transferring they'll have the benefit of learning from Brian Hartline and playing with the best each and every day in practice. That's the Jameson Williams model.
As talented as OSU's WR room has been lately, it's going to get more talented in the next few years. I'm fascinated to see how that impacts their toughness on the line of scrimmage/running game.

I'll tell you the real Jameson Williams model. These kids all think they are the best and are ignorant of the fact that 1st round NFL talent has been mostly sitting the bench at Ohio St at WR. They are ignorant of the fact that transferring with a year remaining and everything going right (learning the new system, having a qb that looks their way, no injuries before getting noticed, their qb or oline holding up through the season, etc., etc.) is a low probability of working out.
You want to know how it shakes out? Several of these top WRs will transfer and/or flame out because they never got the opportunity because there were half a dozen guys ranked as high as them in front of them on the depth chart and sitting the bench doesn't always make you better.
Carter?Personally I blame President Carter for the almost universal disdain that exists in this country for the metric system and, no, I'm never letting go...
Exceptin they don’t have to wait until they have just one year left. They can make the jump at any point. And they can study other coaches and systems to see where they best fit. Helps a lot when your first team changes players, position coaches and or OCs.So about that Jameson Williams model, your claim is that the best WR recruits all find it appealing that even though they could have 1st round talent, that instead they mostly sit for a few years of their college career as Ohio St recruits over them and then throw all of their chips on transferring to a top school and getting noticed with only 1 year remaining?

Hartline is killing it. I hope someone, anyone, backs up the Brinks truck to get him away from OSU and the Big 10.They've gotten 3 top-50 WRs in 3 days, and rumor is they're about the land the #1 WR in 2024.......and they lead for the #2 and #3 WRs in the 2024 class. It's absolutely insane.

Agreed. he had two WRs go in the first round. the problem is, you can't play 11 WRs at the same time. We'll see some WRs leave tOSU in the next year.Hartline is killing it. I hope someone, anyone, backs up the Brinks truck to get him away from OSU and the Big 10.
Three if you count Jamison Williams who was developed by Hartline.Agreed. he had two WRs go in the first round. the problem is, you can't play 11 WRs at the same time. We'll see some WRs leave tOSU in the next year.
Rumor is he turned down the MSU OC job a few years ago. He has said that he doesn't feel the need to call plays, and loves being able to work with his guys as a position coach. Not sure how much of that is coach speak.Hartline is killing it. I hope someone, anyone, backs up the Brinks truck to get him away from OSU and the Big 10.
what about our PA superstar WR that went to OSU?? Where does he stack up in the WR depth chart?Rumor is he turned down the MSU OC job a few years ago. I do wonder if all this uber talent at WR and QB will turn OSU into something more resembling Oklahoma and less the Urban Meyer SEC-style team that's tough up front. I do think OSU is more lethal offensively under Day, but there are question marks about OSU's "toughness". And I wonder if their loss to Michigan was a fluke or a sign of things to come in that department. They were bullied up front.

Iowa was well on their way to winning, actually they were dominating us from the beginning. Not unless you have a real astute football knowledge would you know this."Iowa still has more momentum."
