Bears need massive O help.....guessing the Bears Mgt team forgot to watch the second half of the KC playoff game, made the decision at halftime!

Nagy's a good OC but Sunday definitely wasn't a great audition--at least not the second half

He was the QB at Manheim in Mid-90's. Had a couple of incredible games against Berwick.
They played a game at Hershey in 94 I believe. Best HS school game I've ever seen. 3
drives in the last 5 minutes. Both teams ran a 2-minute offense any pro team would be
proud of. Nagy led Manheim to late drive to take the lead. Berwick countered with a great
drive to re-take the lead. Left a little too much time on the clock and Manheim was
deep in Berwick territory when Nagy threw an int. to seal it for Berwick. Great crowd
Both teams traveled well back them.

Apparently Andy Reid has called Nagy the most qualified assistant to be a head coach that he's ever had. We shall see.

I see the Bears social media team is sharing all sorts of offensive stats from KC's season, but KC had offensive weapons all over the field and a very experienced QB running a complicated offense. Chicago is solid at RB and has a very green, but talented QB. We have nowhere near the options at WR and TE that KC had at their disposal at present. I am assuming WRs will be addressed during the draft.

Dan Kreider was Manheim's running back on that team, he ended up playing FB with the Steelers.

As a Manheim Central student at the time, I don't remember that game quite as fondly :)
But the full game is on youtube

Nagy also threw a pick to end the game in 95 against Berwick.

My brother quarterbacked Montoursville the week before against Manheim. They were big boys.

Exactly the same thing I thought when I saw they were interviewing him yesterday. Apparently, he knocked that interview out of the park since they hired him less than 24 hours later. I'll reserve judgment on this until I see what the team has to offer next season but how a playoff OC can give his healthy rushing champion **FIVE** carries in the last 48 minutes of the game is quite mystifying.

Thanks for link. I'll have to watch that when I have time. I was neutral. Used to just go to the
best game on a Friday night. Not always my town.

I could be mistaken, but I think Andy calls the plays. Anybody else certain?

Shared playcalling. After Reid axed the OC late in the season and named Nagy the OC, they decided to split the playcalling duties. So Reid gets a ton of the blame for this as well.

I had vivid memories of Andy with his mouth covered by a huge play sheet for years, but only saw KC beat NE in the season opener. Thanks bud.
