Beiler's doughnuts are rockin' it! Yes? Fans? Critics? Tell me more please!

You are THE food critic for sure sir!

Seriously, I think they are very over rated. They sell a ton of them but nearly everyone I know who purchases them initially doesn’t buy them again. They made a splash with some of the toppings or finishings as I call them. The bacon one got a lot of press. There are tons of places that make a superior product.

Most overrated donuts out there. I feel bad for people who think Beiler's donuts are the best they've had.

I hear you sir and do honestly thank you for your response.

Thank you!!

The best donuts I've ever had in all my travels are right in your backyard.

Sounds a lot like Voodoo donuts in Portland. They have crazy flavors and get a ton of tourists. They are good, but not great.

Could someone give me the lowdown on Duck Donuts?

They just built one in my area and since I've been raised on the speed and convenience of Dunkin the idea of waiting around for donuts to be made per the toppings I select seems like a bit of a waste of time.

I personally find them good, not great. Certainly not up to the hype they receive. In fact, on my last trip to RTM, I didn't even get any.
To each their own.
I have to agree. My wife and I each had one when we were in Philly for the Army Navy game. They were fine, but not worth going out of your way. The best donut I've ever had, hands down, was a glazed donut from Crispy Cream, when still warm from the fryer. If you have a crispy cream that makes their own donuts (not a convenience store that sells them) they have a neon light that they turn on to tell you when they are just coming out of the fryer. If you are driving by and see this light, hit the brakes, make a u turn, or do whatever you have to do in order to get there as soon as possible.

They are good cake style donuts and you can get them with exactly the toppings you desire. If you prefer a glazed, cream filled, or any other simple (what is the opposite of cake?) donut, then you are better off with Duncan or some other pre-made donut.

For a chain, they're decent. Lots of different icings for a donut but the donut itself is always the same....so there isn't much differentiation in taste.

Do they ship ? I used to order a few dozen of the Crumbs cupcakes when we had a big party. But Crumbs went out of business a few years ago. I saw that there is a Voodoo Cupcake store opening up at Universal Studios in Florida. I'm not familiar with them. I checked if they shipped; they don't.

Dam Donuts in Bellefonte is equally good if not better because they're made fresh at the time of purchase and are customizable.

McSorely's mother treats all the lineman to their own personalized box before every home game for protecting her son and keeping his jersey clean.

Dam Donuts is damn disgusting. Much smaller than Duck Donuts, more expensive, and everything tastes the same.

Duck is also made fresh to order.

For consistency purposes isn't a donut sans filling or topping and made by the same people with the same dough recipe suppose to taste the same? Because they're smaller, more expensive, and tastes the same, that makes them "disgusting"?

Let’s put this another way: When your maple bacon, cream cheese frosted, Boston cream, and blueberry donuts taste identical you’ve got problems.

Add in an odd texture (not a cake donut, not a standard donut) with high prices and small size....gets you to disgusting.

Sounds like a taste buds issue to me. Just sayin.

Speaking of donuts of today. Has anyone had a donut burger? They seem to be the "new trend" these days, Doesn't look very appetizing to me, but I'll try anything once.

Had one at Nosh in Portland, Maine. It was good but not something I’d seek out.

The one restaurant in state college, babies I think, was featured on big ten eats for their donut burger
