I wouldn't be shocked to see Leeth win this weight class. Some of the others ranked above him would surprise me.

I just can't see Micah winning it all, but who knows?
We are used to seeing him take a beating from Penn State singlets.

I actually think the best thing that ever happened to Micah was Jason wrestling him on one leg. The beating Jason administered on the mat was brutal, but not life altering. The fact he was a Buckeye and needed a beatdown was obvious. If Jason had been healthy, the beatdown would have been similar to the one Jason put on Ryan's son and I am uncertain Micah would have recovered.

They predict Jordan to win 149 but Hayes is going to wrestle 149 in our dual with them? Very strange.

Lots of funny stuff on this thread about Micah...and all worthy of good ribbing.

But like his brother, they seem like kids I have enjoyed watching...demeanor, honor in competition...class. I would hope we will win the NCAA title while he goes 149 and wins one for himself. One Jordan getting the hardware seems like a good thing for wrestling. To me, anyway.

They do seem like good kids. Micah's certainly in the mix.

I like Berge's position in this weight class. He may not win the whole thing but I don't see anyone that I think he has no chance against. Great opportunity to make the podium, possibly high.

I really don't see Lugo or Oliver as being any better Berge. The one match I watched Boo wrestle last year, he didn't look too good but that could be credit to the opponent, I forget that guy's name.

Boo took Thomsen apart last year like Thomsen's never been taken apart before in his life. Really impressive in that match.

He is so bad on bottom that I can't see him winning, either. I can't remember the last time I saw a guy as bad as him underneath someone. He was a blue chip recruit and will be a 4 year starter at a top program and he is still so bad in that position. It's crazy.

I would much rather see Berge win a title as a RSF.

whoops, my error. good catch. article been corrected. Hayes may end of starting at 149 for the Buckeyes but that's not why I put him in the that key matchups section, i just messed up.

Love a man willing to admit mistakes. Me, I was right once and didn't know what to do...

Must not be doing enough dead lifts!

Hey we all have 'heard' Berge gets the better of Verk, but Berge has been one weight class up. Maybe Verk's a sleeper and once Berge gets down to weight and the wrestle off, what are the odds Verk simply wins the spot? From Petigree pov I think the consensus is Berge is one tier above Verk, it's just hard to know with Berge wrestling so little last year.

We heard the same thing about our current 2x 165 NC after his RS year. :)
