Bernie Sanders says that he wants to invest $1 trillion in infrastructure over 5 years, or $200 billion per year. He says that will create 13 million good paying jobs.
I assume that the entire $200 billion will go to wages and there will be no cost for materials. After all, he is Bernie Sanders. $200 billion divided by 13 million jobs means that the average wage will be $15,385 per year and that has to include all benefits and payroll taxes. That's less than half of his proposed $15/hr minimum wage (with no benefits).
Bernie must be using Catch's multiplier effect.
