Latest figures on fossil-fuel emissions for 2015 show for the first time during a period of global economic growth that the amount of carbon dioxide being pumped into the atmosphere has remained stable for two consecutive years.
But the linked article says that is almost all due to China's slowing economy. That makes no sense because their 'slowing economy' grew at only 7% instead of its old 8%. Really, slowing growth from 8% to 7% led to a stable carbon emission rate?
What they don't want to say is that only one country has succeeded in reducing its carbon output to the standards of the Kyoto Protocol. Germany? Sweden? France? Nope, nope, and ............nope.
It is the US, which didn't even sign the agreement and had no plan to meet those standards. So how did they do it with out even trying. Fracking. The conversion from coal to nat gas is by the far the single biggest reason for reducing carbon emissions.
Thank you Frackers!!
