Yeah, IMO Mowins honestly isn't too bad. I've found her partner --- Anthony Becht --- pretty good too. He actually provides some football-based insight.
The game's on ABC or ESPN2 (based on geographic region). So that's some good exposure for us: better than a game filed away on BTN.
Also put Brock Huard on your list. He's not very good.
I like Huard. He was beyond critical of our offensive coaching and Hackenberg last year, but it was warranted.
He seemed to be the first person who really said Hackenberg wasn't an elite QB and it probably rubbed people the wrong way before the realization set in.

Many years ago.....MANY MANY years ago.....we were lucky to get 2-3 games a year televised. Be thankful we get to watch every game.....your choice if you want to listen or not. But all the whining about the announcers is often as bad or worse than the announcers themselves!
Unless it's Millen, in which case you just turn it into a drinking game and take a drink every time he says something more stupid than he did before.
Mowins may not be great but there are many that are much much worse and she doesn't appear to despise us or have an agenda that's against us like many of the media. Think how bad it would be if Christine Brennan was involved with the telecast.
Virtually everything in life could be a little bit better.....but could also be one hell of a lot worse!

Darn it. I may have to break the bad news to my son; we are staying home on Saturday to listen to the one and only (thank goodness!) Beth Mowins on the telecast. No trip to West Lafayette for us this year, son!

Very true, I remember even earlier days when to get the Penn State football score you had to listen to some AM radio station out of Fort Wayne, Indiana at midnight.

Nope, never. There are some people who reflexively don't want a woman announcing men's sports. I don't think she's that good, but she's miles better than a lot of alternatives.
