Beyond Sad News

Gentlemen, I cant believe I am writing this but my dear friend and fellow board member CraIg (Mudge) took his life this weekend. His beautiful daughter Lauren called both myself and Gorki today. I had gotten really close to Mudge over the last couple years.....an online friendship that grew and grew.....we just saw a band together a few weeks ago and had a blast with his wife Robin and their daughter. Our shared love of PSU football and music were a common bond.....he loved quizzing me on classic rock and would jokingly get pissed when he couldn't stump me. Mudge and Robin were just in Florida last week and he seemed happy....we texted as recently as Thursday evening......Gorki was part of the text as well. The 3 of us together, like we had done a few times, was like a 3 ring circus. I feel terrible for his wonderful family.....such warm, loving people. Mudge suffered from a terrible stomach illness which didn't allow him to plan things ahead.....there are conversations we enjoyed that he didn't disclose to anyone else. I loved him and he loved me as well. Im having trouble finishing this post so I want to tell my dear friend to rest easy, Im going to really miss you, and God bless Robin and his precious daughters.
