Everywhere I go, people are mystified about President Joe Biden's economic agenda. So few of the policies comport with basic common sense that I’m asked the same question over and over: Is Biden intentionally trying to take a wrecking ball to the economy?

Is this all part of some diabolical plan, the “great reset,” to end our system of free market capitalism and replace it with some form of big-government socialism?

Biden keeps saying that he wants to be a historic president who will “transition” the country into a new worker’s paradise where no one uses fossil fuels or electricity or cars and equality is paramount, ahead of growth and prosperity. Is he taking us there with no regard for the collateral damage to America?

My belief is that, no, I don’t think this is an intentional, nefarious Dr. Evil-type plot.

But if this were a scheme to burn down the village in order to rebuild it, Biden and his administration are doing a great job of it.

Here are seven Biden administration steps to undermine an economy and a society from within. They will all sound familiar with the president's policies since he took office 21 months ago.

1. Dismantle the nation’s energy supply
2. Don’t enforce the border.
3. Devalue the nation’s currency through inflation.
4. Destroy the nation’s finances by running up the debt by multiple trillions of dollars of debt.
5. Divide rather than unite the nation.
6. Dumb down and indoctrinate our children with anti-American propaganda in the schools and media.

7. Decriminalize a lot.

Dumb article IMO. The repeated use of Biden is not accurate. It's like they are trying to pin horrible results on Biden as the scapegoat when Biden doesn't have a clue where he is half the time.

No, this is what Democrat policies yield. Doesn't matter which name is at the top. Democrat policies result in destruction of the economy.

Biden's primary goal is to get ice cream at the end of the day.

It's pretty simple. This is what communists do in a takeover.

Half of the country will be so desperate that they will become communists and therefore vote for communists. We could have "democracy" and still become a communist state.

Here is how it works: Slightly more than half the population become desperate and see a minority with wealth. They vote to use the government to steal that wealth. Inflation is one of the ways to confiscate paper wealth. (For example, my pension is being stolen to pay for the Green New Deal, among other "priorities.")

Take a look at the rise of communists governments in history. This is how it works. A vote is just like a weapon in the old days.

There needed to be limits on the federal government. It's become a mechanism to transfer wealth, even to those outside of the country. That was never its original intent.

Exactly my concern.

There are soooo many gullible liberal voters, they might be convinced that it’s all Bidens fault and “solve the problem” by electing Pete Buttigieg.

I do think the country is doomed. Way too much ignorance. I am blown away by how effective the media has been. Bring up a subject for rational debate and instantly the lefties complain about some aspect of Trump that they heard on the likes of MSNBC. The man isn't even in office.

The country is now flooded with brainwashed people. I think they are becoming a majority.

Even if the republicans take back some or all of Congress it won't matter. The media and unelected government are full of people that have control of the narrative. They also control who gets prosecuted and who gets a pass.

I never thought we would get to this stage but it has happened. We are just like other countries that fell to communism. Ironically people voted for the system that we fought wars to prevent.

Probably not intentionally. What you see is the product of 2 things:
1. The Dem-liberal failure to understand that there are no free lunches
2. Biden is simply too old to fully grasp the complexities of the U.S. presidency

It would take issue with #4. Every administration runs up trillion in debt. Too much of the budget is built in and it would be painful to balance the budget. No one is doing that with an election coming at some point.

Oh, come on. Both points assume that there isn't a single democrat with an IQ above 130.

Think Bill Gates doesn't understand that there are no free lunches?

Think there aren't people who are telling Biden even when to breathe?

Agreed. His agenda is global climate change which is wrecking the economy and energy industry. Second he is fighting the Russians to try and sand his son who has his secrets there

Dumb. You should have at least $1 MM of assets right now.
Many people with $1 MM blow it all. I'll be fine. It is none of your business. My cautious brand of economics is correct for the country.
