The majority of Kiplinger's top 10 jobs for the future are healthcare related. Why? Could be an aging population but I think it's more than that. Other reasons:
  • Insurance companies forced to cover services that they never used to cover
  • People take advantage of free low cost services (Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance pays for it, so why not use it?)
It's all nice to have but somebody has to pay. It's not just the rich. It's the poor and middle class that can't find work, partly because the cost to hire people has become prohibitive. Somebody has to pay for free birth control pills, free back and knee braces, free motorized wheel chairs, etc.
