Big Ten Conference Releases 2022 Football Schedule

The Big Ten Conference Administrators Council, which includes the Directors of Athletics and Senior Women Administrators from all 14 member institutions, has approved the 2022 Big Ten football schedule.

We still start the big 10 schedule on the road for 12 of the last 13 years. But at least Michigan and Ohio State games are separated

Iowa finally has both Michigan and Ohio State in the same season, let alone one of them. Kirk probably not happy about the schedule change.

Cool, My post was looking at the entire conference. Sorry, I didn’t catch the other thread. I appreciate your assistance in directing me there.

Ohio State opens with FIVE straight home games and Michigan opens with FOUR.

Not to mention that both Ohio State and Michigan are playing 8 games at home vs 4 on the road….how did that happen?

And, you gotta love Michigan’s challenging out of conference schedule which includes Colorado State (3-9), Hawaii (6-7) and UConn (1-11).

Yep, when you have osu, um, msu and either an iowa or wisc, potentially in 4 straight weeks, they need at least two cupcakes in the ooc games

tOSU has an odd schedule since they play Norte Dame away in 2023. So they only have 6 home games in 2023 (and 6 away)

Michigan has a similar crappy non conference schedule in 2023. They were supposed to have a home and home with UCLA the next two years but cancelled the series to pick up some cupcakes instead.

The big ten will revise the schedule for 2023 in all likelihood but I wouldn’t expect the format of 4 home/5 away conference games for East teams in odd years to change. Ohio state is going to only have 6 home games in 2023.

At some point I expect the Big Ten to drop down to 8 conference games to accommodate the scheduling alliance with the PAC-12 and ACC. My guess that will start in 2026.

And some claim no bias. I’m too lazy to look, but would be willing to bet no one is worse than 40-60
