One of the strangest decisions I have seen.. Seems like his players were confused by it too.

That is exactly what he did.

You get a second chance now if the other team scores on the first OT possession. That may be why. If they don't score, you may well get better field position.

McNabb didn't know the O.T rules, very possible these guys don't either.
