(again, filling in for fair while he works on his bucket list)
I took a break from the birthday greetings for a few weeks, but didn't want to neglect these posts for too long.
Our first greetings go out to a lady that fair enjoyed on the big screen. She was one of the big stars of the silent film era. She also transitioned to sound films, as well as appearing on TV and on Broadway. She was also the model for the Philadelphia Sesquicentennial Celebration's official poster. Lastly, it did not hurt her standing with Mr. Gambit that she was born in Pittsburgh. The lovely Lois Wilson.
Our next greetings go out to a lady who is best known for the characters she created and played on SNL. Some of her characters included Roseanne Roseannadanna, Baba Wawa, and Emily Litelia. Sadly, she died far too young from cancer. The lovely and funny Gilda Radner.
Our next greetings go out to a French stage, film and TV actress. She's appeared in numerous French films and TV shows. In English-language films, she's best known for appearing in Bobby Deerfield. While she was born Annie Legras, she's known to fair and to fans as Anny Duperey.
Our next greetings go out to a stage and film star who Mr. Gambit has long been a fan of. He first noticed her in Chariots of Fire, and has gone on to enjoy her work in films such as Ghost Story, King David, Barfly, See You in the Morning, Sharpe's Honour, Star Trek: First Contact, The Calling, Reign of Fire, Lonely Hearts, and Thor: The Dark World. The lovely Alice Krige.
Our next greetings go out to a star of the stage, big screen, and TV. Mr. Gambit first noticed her in Some Kind of Wonderful, and has gone on to enjoy her performances in Gardens of Stone, Chances Are, Immediate Family, Fried Green Tomatoes, Married to It, Bad Girls, Radioland Murders, Bed of Roses, Dogtown, Leo, and The Sisters. The lovely and talented Mary Stuart Masterson.
Our next greetings go out to a lady that Mr. Gambit has enjoyed on the big screen. She's starred in films such as Munich, Vantage Point, Fugitive Pieces, Adam Resurrected, Hide Away, and Man of Steel. She's probably most known for her portrayal of Vittoria Vetra in Angels & Demons. The lovely Ayelet Zurer.
Our final greetings go out to a singer that Mr. Gambit always finds pleasing to the ears, and to the eyes. He first noticed her on American Idol. The lovely Kellie Pickler.
