(again, filling in for fair while he's working on his bucket list)

Our first greetings go out to a lady that Mr. Gambit has enjoyed on the big screen. He first noticed her in Night Moves, and has gone on to enjoyer her in movies such as Body Double, Something Wild, Working Girl, The Bonfire of the Vanities, Shining Through, A Stranger Among Us, Nobody's Fool, Mulholland Falls, Lolita, Another Day in Paradise, and Crazy in Alabama. Hard to believe that she's turning the big 60 today, but birthday greetings are in order for the lovely Melanie Griffith.

Our next greetings go out to a lady whose soaring voice, and good looks, Mr. Gambit took notice of. Her top hits were "Saving All My Love for You," "How Will I Know," "The Greatest Love of All," "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)," "One Moment in Time," "I'm Your Baby Tonight," and "I Will Always Love You," Mr. Gambit also enjoyed her performances on the big screen in movies such as The Bodyguard, Waiting to Exhale, and The Preacher's Wife. Sadly, she died far too young (5 years ago). The lovely and talented Whitney Houston.

What did Whitney Houston ever see in Bobbie Brown ?
He ruined her life.

Rhona. Mitra. FTW.

I always look forward to your FTW reply to the Greetings post. Today, while I was creating the post, I thought to myself, 'ro is definitely going to go with Rhona Mitra. Every time I watch Shooter, I wonder if the FBI has employees that look as good as she does. ;)

wow ... never seen that Rhona chick before

speaking of Anna Kendrick, wife and I watched the Accountant last Saturday night, dear lord that was brutal. not that i should have been shocked, since it does star Ben Affleck .... but my god was it bad

One of the many pleasures of the film Nobody's Fool is the scene where Melanie Griffith flashes Paul Newman. They're spectacular.

flags all over the field for that post, LJ. Shame, shame, shame (though no surprise, I guess, from a Neshaminy alum)

Tom, you picked fair's brain exceptionally well today.....well done, very well done.

The Fonz says "there's not a dog in the group"!

But, you forgot her most famous (infamous) role.....as the eye candy in Hollow Man.

(This is the G Rated version of that role)

You forgot one Tom:

Whitney should be the poster girl for the anti-drug campaign. She was one of the most beautiful, most talented model/singer/actors of our time. In addition she seemed to be a genuinely great person....all destroyed by cocaine. By the end she looked like a cheap crack whore you see on bad street corners of major cities. What a shame.
