Blue Band sounds rough

Some alums but at least half was the full students. If they are going to suck someone should have ripped the mic away from
Them. My surround sound speakers are still ringing

I sat on the West side around the 35, so pretty far away, but, like I said, sounded ok. The group looked way smaller than normal, and there were alumni mixed in, though.

Overall, I hate how the band is done for Blue-White games. I'd like to see them treat it like a normal game with the pregame routine, etc

Re: It wasn't the actual Blue Band

It was a mix of blue band students and alums. Just because they weren't in uniform doesn't mean some weren't actual blue band members. At least 50% were band students

That would be darn near impossible without going through an entire band camp along with have another set of try outs. All that for a scrimmage where they may or may not be able to perform due to weather. You have to remember that many of the band members graduate, student teach have internship the second semester. So they have to fill those holes.

Re: Right....it wasn't the actual Blue Band

Ok...? It was still embarrassing and an awful representation of the band on TV. Nfm

Good lord what is going on with them?
It's to be expected this year with the transition from O. Richard Bundy to Gregory Drane. New director Drane is installing a new training routine and not everyone has bought into it yet. Drane is also reportedly looking to recruit people who fit into his system. Once all the pieces are in place the Blue Band will be unstoppable.
