I'll post the interview with BTN that Navarro did. He was like a ROCK STAR on the sidelines. Every newly graduated player, many current players came over to say hello and get a few words with Navarro who was on the far sidelines the entire game. It started with one player and then it was a never ending group of players who wanted to brush shoulders with NFL greatness.
Anthony Zettel was there, Austin Johnson, Christian Hackenberg came late in the 2nd quarter... Devon Still, Carl Nassib was honored at half time as was Navarro before the game. When the PA announcer talked about Navarro's exploits in the NFL... I thought he would never stop. Same thing with the phenomenal season that Carl Nassib had last year. The PA announcer mentioned it was the 1st time since 2002 (Larry Johnson) that a Penn State player had won 3 major Collegiate Awards after the season was completed. Got a huge, genuinely appreciative hug from AD, Sandy Barbour after the announcement. Beautiful scene as 6-5 Carl, embraced much shorter Sandy. Very nice gesture though.
Could have filled a complete roster of the who's, who... who returned to Penn State for the Blue/White game. 2005 team (Orange Bowl team... ended #3 in both polls that year) was honored near the end of the 3rd quarter. Very nice to see Navarro again decked out in the the Linebacker U jacket. A lot of pride there. LOVED IT!!!
