They have announced that there won't be a "game" as we have come to know it. I am not sure what it is going to be, perhaps some kind of sports exhibition. Like other schools, PSU has no interest in showcasing kids so that agents call them and tell they they can make more money someplace else and to transfer out. My only point is that if you are looking for a "game," you probably won't see it. However, I suspect the school and town will "show out", especially if the weather is nice.Do you require tickets for the game ?

Agreed. I think this will be more of a "spring weekend" where spring at PSU is celebrated with a football exhibition, honoring winter sports teams, celebrate Thon, a good tailgate, downtown shopping and good. I am told many people will skip it and, instead, go to Arts Fest.I'm disappointed that college football has come to this, where teams can't entertain their fans for fear of showcasing player talent such that traditions and fan opportunities like spring games to conclude spring practices have to be more or less dummied down or eliminated.
But I'd still be there to enjoy a day in State College, pick up a few PSU clothes items that showcase the team as well as the NC wrestling team, if we weren't heading in the opposite direction to hear out son preach that weekend......
Thank NIL and cheating.Agreed. I think this will be more of a "spring weekend" where spring at PSU is celebrated with a football exhibition, honoring winter sports teams, celebrate Thon, a good tailgate, downtown shopping and good. I am told many people will skip it and, instead, go to Arts Fest.
Agree. I would only add that we are suffering NIL because the universities have exploited college football players for decades. The cheating isn't new. Universities and sports networks made trillions in dollars while kids were told to take performance enhancing drugs, given insufficient healthcare, suffered injuries that would harm them in the old age, and told to not worry about grades. I haven't seen it recently but IIRC the average life expectancy of an offensive linemen was in the late 50s at one point.Thank NIL and cheating.
