BOB scaring everyone off........

GM and 75 percent of the coaching staff gone. Sounds like BOB leveraged a lot of control. Has to produce next year or he's gone as well.

Texans gave up the most points, and had the most penalties on defense in the NFL.

Yet for some reason there defensive coordinator Vrabel is getting head coach interviews. In fairness though they were injury riddled this year.

OK I will prepare to get blasted for this comment.

What has he ever won??? QB guru??? Tom Brady would make me a QB Guru. Maybe he will win something someday, but I see him as very overrated. He did Penn State a favor by staying thru the tough few years, then leaving so the program could succeed. If he stays, I see an 8-4 team annually.

The AFC South...twice
He's been successful at Penn State and Houston. Some on this board are still so bitter about him leaving that they can't think clearly when it comes to him
Being happy that Franklin is our HC is fine (and reasonable) but the need to try to bash O'Brien is just pathetic. O'Brien is one of the main reasons (one of) that we survived the sanctions. We all knew from day 1 he wouldn't be here long if he had any success

Good god, that defense with Butler in control.

BOB was a career college assistant coach, a journey man really. He did get a chance to rub against Brady and somehow he emerged from that as a QB whisperer. He became a favorite for the PSU job when no college head coach would answer the phone when the dynamic duo (Ira and Judas) called. BOB was without a contract to return to NE as Josh McDaniel had already been signed as the new OC . Ira and his stooge were desperate and Jaws (a business partner of Ira) suggested going the NFL route as there is a great deal less integrity there.
While I am obviously not a fan of BOB, he did a fine job being a major part of holding the program together....with tremendous leadership by the likes of Mauti and co. BOB's personality, IMO is not compatible with long term success in the college game. He is hot tempered, profane and impatient. He never had any intent of staying at PSU more than 1 day longer than he had to.
It has all worked out well. BOB is a very rich man and will have work in the NFL (if not as a HC, certainly as a OC) for many years. PSU has a much better college coach, and someone who is very happy to be at PSU for the long haul.
Please remember, "The lawsuits are not helping."

My favorite moment was him blowing a gasket that the clock was running after a completion when the receiver went out of bounds. He did it numerous times and I remember one time the announcer said it would help if he knew the college rules instead of the NFL rules. Made himself look like a complete jackass,

People are right though, he will have work for a long time at the NFL level. That is more symbolic of the NFL way of doing business.

Fitzgerald resigned and took the strength and conditioning job at TN. Butler gone, London gone and others.
It happens all the time now Many people have to realize that the days of that past are over everywhere Even Joe lost some asst coaches over the years Everyone acts like all of the asst coaches stayed for ever they didn't

As for OB he helped save us and no one cares about that what a shame Billy good luck

The second someone refers to him as "BOB" there's no point to continue reading

Sometimes you have to respond merely to educate the uninformed and correct a false narrative.

What's next, calling someone out on improper use of a semi colon. When you have nothing to say, focus on spelling or BOB. Who gives a $hit?
