I always laughed at the "Big Game Bob" nickname...I always thought it should be "Big Game Bomb".

Let's look at his history. Nine years ago he was leading Boise State with very little time left in the Fiesta Bowl. Then Boise State ran a series of absurd trick plays - and every single one of them worked. Eight years ago he played West Virginia right after Rich Rodriguez jetted out of town. WVU's players had just been shafted by their coach, and they were being led by a seventy year-old coordinator. They beat Stoops by about six touchdowns. At that point I seriously wondered how this guy could continue to live on a reputation and no results. Somehow he is still going. (Although, to be fair, we've seen living on reputation up close. Any other coach who had Paterno's run from 2000-04 would have been canned and never would have gotten another FBS coaching job.)

How the hell does Mark Richt, and not Bob Stoops, get fired?

There are no academic or disciplinary standards at OU. It's in the easiest Power 5 conference in college football.

At Georgia, Richt was going against Alabama, Auburn, and LSU in games and for recruits.
