Florida State's Jimbo Fisher: 'We will do better' regarding players

BTW, can anyone tell me why we are only just finding out about starting tailback Dalvin Cook punching a 21 year old women multiple times despite the following excerpted directly from article: "The incident occurred the day before former FSU quarterback De'Andre Johnson, 19, was involved in a physical altercation with a 21-year-old female student at a different bar near the FSU campus.".

If I didn't know better, this would suggest that the starting RB getting charged with battery for punching a 21 year old women multiple times (including a witness to the whole thing) was kept under wraps by 'Ole Jimbo, Free Shoes U's Athletic Department and Public Relations Department.....the Meggs and the Tallahassee PD and it is only coming to light because of De'Andre Johnson getting busted for the exact same thing the very next night (both Free Shoes U players are UNDERAGE BY THE WAY). Pure coincidence that we never heard anything about Cook despite it happening first??? Pure coincidence that they moved against De'Andre Johnson and kicked him off team before we ever heard a word about STARTING RB Dalvin Cook getting busted for the exact same thing the NIGHT BEFORE Johnson!!! Was 'Ole Jimbo hoping that he would use De'Andre Johnson as a "sacrificial lamb" such that he could keep the incident involving his starting RB under wraps and keep him on the team as a starter this year??? Gee, if I was cynical, I'd say 'Ole Jimbo is a genuine hypocrite and was trying to keep his STARTING PLAYER on the team and his incident under wraps by offering up non-starter 4th string QB De'Andre Johnson up as a sacrificial lamb that he could say, "see how tough I am on this stuff? I kicked De'Andre off the team even though I love him like a son....blah, blah, blah". BTW, why is Dalvin Cook even still on the team and only indefinitely suspended rather than kicked off like Johnson if Free Shoes U just set the precedent of how they were going to deal with this type of thing???

Jimbo is beginning to remind me more of Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer. He puts on the 'good ole boy' charm where his local media often backs off. Then I don't think he cares much about what his players do until it hits national news and he's forced to address it (in reality deflect it as we saw with Winston).

Funny how the starting RB apparently hit this lady multiple times- with an on record 911 call from that night, witnesses, and pictures of the lady's injuries. The players apparently told her to google them- they played football and could 'buy her in 2 years'. Despite all this- he's still on the team- just suspended indefinitely (I'm sure to be reinstated in August after the media reports die down......just in time for the season). ;)

What Jimbo really said:

"It's OK to punch women, don't do it in front of cameras or witnesses".

Reminds me of that scene in Airplane! where Dr. Rumack's nose grows like Pinnochio's.

The culture Bobby Bowden built.

I still don't know how he had the nerve or stupidity to comment on Penn State's supposed football first culture.

I know it's a USA Today story link, but how are either of the statements "lengthy"?

"Florida State football coach Jimbo Fisher released a lengthy statement Friday evening addressing the recent events surrounding his players."
