I just thought I would take a moment to point out how freakin' good Brandon Smith is. We should all be very excited that he appears ready to commit to us on Monday. If you haven't watched his film yet, I highly recommend you do so. Kid plays the linebacker position like a serial killer. Just a tremendous prospect; great size, excellent speed, length, aggression, instincts, hits like a locomotive and tracks plays like a bloodhound. This kid is the real deal. I look at him and I see a no-brainer 5-star guy. We'll see if it shakes out that way.
I'm not qualified in any way to make the following statement, but as a linebacker I think he's a better prospect than Parsons. As an edge rusher and a pure athlete Parsons is a freak, one of the best I've seen at his size. But as a linebacker, Smith is an absolute stud. Like, possible future All-American type stud. Again, just my opinion, but there it is.
The thought of these two playing LB together for PSU is...invigorating. Hell, they could both be AA. The future is bright.
