Amazed that he stuck around. I actually thought of the three he would have been the one that would have been promised the best chance at the QB job.
This is a classic case where an athlete should be allowed to transfer without sitting out a year. He's probably being squeezed out of the QB position.I guess it was a good problem to have but I am surprised it didn't become a problem at all. Miller would have probably started @ FSU if he made that choice.

I wonder if there's a possibility that his shoulder really isn't all the way back to throwing shape. The guy is a good athlete so this move might be better for a chance at the NFL.This is a classic case where an athlete should be allowed to transfer without sitting out a year. Riddle me this. Why would Urban dismiss one of his best athletes? He made the best play because he was targeted for medical dismissal. Urbs relented because the last kid went public and ruined the climate temporarily.

Lol.He has many others. Harbaugh is making them "try out".

Braxton won't be able to fully throw for 2-2 1/2 more months. For those of you who need a little help with math, that puts him ready to start throwing 100% in late September to mid October. That's why he was never transferring and that's why he's not playing quarterback.
No, the math wasn't always in that timeline. But the math was that he wouldn't be throwing until about now, give or take a few weeks, at best. And it never made sense for him to transfer if he couldn't throw. LSU or FSU might have taken him, but he wouldn't know if he'd be able to throw at a level that would win him any jobs. If he had to change positions, why wouldn't he stick where he knows the coaches, the culture and the coaches know exactly what he's capable of doing?I agree that the suggestion that Meyer would have ever dismissed him is off the wall crazy but this "math" wasn't always on this timeline. LSU and FSU would have taken him in a minute. There was a chance he would have been ready. So you are wrong with the "never transferring" thing because of the math. I agree with you when it comes to suggesting that he might have been dismissed. That would have NEVER happened.
I hope it works out better for him than it did for Bolden.

That's why his decision surprised me originally so much. I am pretty sure he would have been Florida's State's starter right away. He is already graduated.
Setting aside the fact that Miller could have transferred under the graduate transfer rule without sitting out, I don't understand your point. This is a classic case where an athlete should be allowed to transfer without sitting out a year. He's probably being squeezed out of the QB position.

Are you saying an athlete that gets beaten out should be able to transfer without sitting out? Talk about chaos if that were the case.
Yes, most NCAA sports. Not the revenue sports.Actually, that's the case in most NCAA sports, excepting football and basketball. It surprised me when I found that out. It's how Coach Warming's son (soccer) was able to transfer to PSU to continue to play for his dad.
