Our resident wrestling analyst Lex Knapp is currently finishing up his honeymoon, but will drop by immediately after to introduce himself. In the meantime here's his first article he wrote, breaking down the 2021 PSU Wrestling class and offering some comparisons to former Nittany Lions.

Behind a paywall. Not a good start IMO.

So, the analysis is:

Steen ~= Gulibon
Van Ness ~= Zain
Facundo ~= Morgan
Lucas Cochran ~= Quentin

Edit: At first I thought on principle that such comparisons are cheesy. But upon rereading, I think the author did a good job, and the comparisons actually are helpful and not too annoying. :)

Gulibon drove me absolutely bonkers. I will continue to maintain very tempered expectations with our 125, and hopefully be pleasantly surprised.

Nope. It was the headgear that he couldn't get to stay in place
Or it was the fact he didn't score points. Hopefully we get someone at 125 that will put some points on the board and we're not starting all of our duals in the hole.

I thought that was a good article. The author knows about wrestling, PSU and recruiting. Not your run of the mill, student written, error filled article we seem to get too often.

Unless the PSU administration does something like shoot themselves in the foot, PSU wrestling is going to crush it for 4 more years. Please DON'T RUIN A GOOD THING!!!!!
