1:10 left on 3rd and 6 or so near midfield and Levis sacked but he clearly had his face mask yanked. They don’t call it.

Coach furious and gets 15 yard penalty so it’s 4th and 24.

Edit - Uk with a miracle 4th and 24 conversion and they’re alive just outside FG range down 3

Uk loses 3rd in a row despite running 99 plays and gaining 600 yards

UK 6-3 with their starting QB healthy. I understand Levis wanted to be a starter, but if he stays here as QB2, he is on a 8-1 team still in top 10 because he would have been good enough to win Iowa and Illinois games when Clifford was hurt.
And he would be a back up with little playing time. In Kentucky he has shown he is a solid QB and has probably earned a shot at the NFL. Most likely a mid round draft pick. Announcers are highly impressed with his strong arm and very quick release, amoung other things.

Yes it would have been better for us if he stayed. But his choice has paid off handsomely for him.

And his development to this point would have been lagged by nearly a half dozen games, and probably a half dozen more before the end of the year.

He will be good next year. From what I've watched he's not always on the same page with his receivers, and they don't have hands like Dotson and Washington. I think he can throw where he wants to throw it. Just a matter of experience at this level. Obviously he can run, even punish defenders.

He would have been foolish to go anywhere that gives him less than two years starting. IMO that is the bottom line for a capable quarterback. Who would want to bank on just one year, with the possibility of getting hurt that year?

Most coaches play only one QB. They're going to find that to be a problem with the portal free agency. This will level the playing field somewhat. It's good for the best players to get their chance. That is the purpose of college. It's not about our entertainment.

Has he wrapped up the Heisman yet?

He was 31/39 with 372 yards passing, 3 TDs with one pic I think for a TD. And at least three passes dropped.

Plus 15 carries for 47 yds and 2 TDs.

Plus one reception for 15 yds.

Is that acceptable for you?
make that 31/49. He been solid but nothing spectacular. He has struggled at times. He has a lower passing rating then Clifford this season. The bottom line is everyone would have loved for him to stayed but he wanted to be a starter and that was not going to happen at Penn State. He has done nothing to prove that he a better quarterback this year than Clifford.
