Gotta feel better about PSU's D after yesterday.

Temple has a very solid defense (look what they did with Maryland) and they no answer for Buffalo's running game and Matt Myers.

And the best football team in Florida couldn't stop Kenney Pickett and Maurice Ffrench when the game was on the line. Gotta give Pitt credit -- 79 yard drive for a TD deep in the 4Q.

PSU has to clean up a lot on D but they're going to be fine there. The O on the other hand ...

The Offense will improve with each passing game. We have a new starting QB, RB, 2 OL, 1.5 WRs (Dotson and Shorter).

It a matter of game reps and getting comfortable and developing a rhythm. Just as others have said in 2016 it took about a 1/3 of the season to get it together offensively.

Should they be better, personally I think they should be. Are we right to be frustrated, sure. Will they get better and continue to improve, yes, yes they will.

We need and should see on both sides of the ball this Friday night a sharpening on both sides of the ball. But I believe with each snap, each possession, each quarter and each game we will see progress with this team.

A loss matters when it fits your argument, but a win that hurts your argument doesn’t matter...got it.

That's the way it is with the loudmouth know-it-alls who incessantly post the same negative mantra over and over and over again even after their original basis and thesis is demonstrated to be horribly incorrect. IOW, a team is only good or bad if "they" declare them so. UCF is now a "bad" team because the say so (never mind that they've gone undefeated in the regular season each of last 2 years OR that they beat #7 Auburn in a BCS NY6 Bowl Game after 2017 season and played LSU even in a BCS NY6 Bowl last year [losing 40-32 in a very close game] OR that they were highly regarded coming into the season and solidly ranked... ). No, never mind any of that factual evidence that UCF is a good team because a loudmouth always-negative Nelly has declared them awful which is more important than the factual record...[roll eyes]. LMFAO.

UCF is decent but no where near as good as the last two years. Their receivers and backs are solid, but lost some on the OL. Rookie starting QB. He looks good but no experience. All predictions on their defense was that it was a complete rebuild. Lost four of their top tacklers up front, their best LB, and I believe a couple of safeties. They got lucky with Stanford being so down this year. Their schedule guarantees a good record and probably being ranked at the end of the year. Pitt has more talent than them overall by far.

Too funny, Stanford was a ranked team Preseason and first couple weeks... now of course with the 20/20 hindsight of the 5th week results, the know-it-alls now declare they're no good either... - go figure.

I do get a kick out of people. I guess we have the same idiots everyone had as fans.

This team lost 5 really good underclassmen to the draft. 4 OL/DL and our starting RB. And of course the winningest QB in our history.

But because we are only 3-0 and didn’t cover the spread against Pitt, we suck. Then when Pitt knocks off another top 15 team, it’s meaningless. Because we suck anyway.

Jesus. Just enjoy the team being 3-0.

I think Florida might have something to say about that.

I have watched them play twice. They have lost 3 in a row in bad fashion. Preseason rankings are always suspect. I said UCF is decent but not as good as the last two years.

Do I have any clue? What a f'ing dipwad you are - you're argument was that UCF is overated and never should have been ranked at all, let alone in the top 15 because they blew out Stanford (who was ranked for the first several weeks of the season including in the preseason.). Now there's some sound logic - a team that has one of the absolute best records in the nation the last several years and has been to 2 consecutive NY6 BCS Bowls sucks because they blew out a highly regarded P5 team coming into the season. Yea, you're clearly a such a football savant, we don't even need to play the games - all we need to do is ask you who is, and isn't, worthy... lmfao, some of you nimrods are such douches, it's just ridiculous.

BTW, UCF came into the season highly ranked so... so much for your theory that they were only ranked high because of beating Stanford. They were a highly regarded team in the preseason poll genius.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Never said UCF shouldn't be ranked. They absolutely should have been ranked coming in to this year. I said they are decent but not as good as last two years. Why didn't you debate what UCF had coming back this year? Also the problems they face defensively this year. Do you not think Pitt has more talent than UCF? I have no idea what your problem is.

What a clown - what's your problem Doodles, your own answer is nothing but "word salad" where you want to have both sides against the middle as if you're initial post (and subsequent posts) weren't a troll attempt to discount PSU's win against ASWP by claiming discounting ASWP's win against UCF via dissing UCF. So according to your mumbo-jumbo last post, UCF "deserved" to start the season highly ranked (went into ASWP game ranked #15 and ranked #17 in Preseason). But then in your next breath critisize them as only a "decent" team - a term which clearly implies mediocrity or average. Given that there are 130 FBS Division teams (i.e., "Division I-A") deserving to be ranked in the Top 15 of the 130 is one hell of a lot better than "decent", but you already know that troll-boy.

I am assuming ASWP is Pitt? It's not mumbo jumbo to rank a team on past performance. They will most likely be one of the top 2 G5 teams which will guarantee them being ranked. I don't think they finish in the top 2 or 3 in any P5 conference except maybe the BT West or ACC Coastal? I also don't think they finish in the basement either. That is my definition of decent. Answer any of my questions yet? Thought not. Because I guess Doodles look at teams objectively. Because of my objectiveness, I made money on Pitt Saturday. Did you?

UCF and Buffalo are both good teams. I think if you watch them play it's obvious. Pitt had a real nice win and Kenny Pickett is playing like a legit D1 QB much to the chagrin of most people. Pitt's defense is pretty good, too. We saw that last week. They look like a contender for the coastal again.

Both Pitt and Buffalo had nice wins over Temple and UCF. As I said I rooted for Pitt and was glad they won. It is just my definition of good is different than yours and CJFisJoePall. Both teams are good this year compared to their conferences. I don't think UCF would be ranked at the end of the year if they played a P5 schedule. They wouldn't hold up. No chance for Buffalo.
