It's unbelievable the way Cael and his staff can take a talented freshmen and develop him during the season to peak and take it to the favorites at seasons end. I'll bet Luky Luke Lilledahl and his parents are super happy they turned Luke's development over to Cael and his staff.

What happened? Did he make it to the championship final?

Jinx - Bartlett loses
Double Jinx - Van Ness loses

Neither one got a takedown

Both seemed stymied by the length of their opponents.

We've been spoiled recently with the super high rate of PSU success in the Semi's. Hope they get back to that high rate in the NCAA's....

(5) 6 of 9 to the finals (67%) not too shabby! Looks like a shoe in for the team title with a decent lead on Nebraska, but Nebraska has 4 in the finals. If Lillidhal beats the Nebraska kid at 125 to begin the night it would pretty much be over. Gotta believe they will save the Kirkvliet/Stevenson match for last, with 125 the start.
Lillidhal (125)
Kasak (157
Mitchell Mesenbrink (165)
Levi Haines (174)
Carter Starocci (184)
Greg Kerkvliet (285)

I'm going with 4 PSU winners, with Kerkvliet losing to Stevenson and one of Lilidhal or Kasak or Haines also losing. 4 PSU NC's wouldn't be the record but would still be a dominating performance!

Who was coaching 133-149?

Isn't #2 supposed to beat #3?

If you expect Franklin to beat a higher ranked team then shouldn't caels wrestlers beat lower ranked wrestlers?
I don’t even know what this means? The 197 pound match is a direct parallel to the football team?

Carl doesn’t give a shit about the Bo Schembechler Open - and we still lead by almost 30 and will probably win by 40-50 points today.
So because the coach doesn’t care about the tournament then the wrestler doesn’t care about winning a match? Really?

Are you trolling? Because that's the only context this post makes sense.

11 team national titles and 39 national champions.

Actually, 6 of 9 to the finals. Team championship may be decided before the finals begin.

No, it means their training cycle is not to peak for a JV tournament- it’s to peak for the real prize. Year after year our guys raise their games for nationals. They still obviously want to win their matches, but they may not be at their peak.

And I nailed the final score range almost exactly down the middle. They won by 44.5
