Cael Sanderson Appreciation thread

First off, congrats to our young men on another great year. Just an amazing season.

I was thinking today about Coach Cael. Has there ever been another wrestler on a Wheaties box before? I don't recall many college athletes at all. The guy was just an amazing,dominant wrestler. And now we see what he is building and has done already as a college coach at such a young age. Just amazing.

I have seen a lot of comparisons to the Great Nick Saban. But here is one thing to keep in mind. Saban was never the pure athlete that Cael was. And look at Alabama.....Bear Bryant built that program and Saban came in and got it back. Cael built something that was never at Penn State. Don't get me wrong.....that is not to say Penn State did not have a good program but let's face it, the college wrestling world was centered in Iowa and Oklahoma and the midwest. Cael Sanderson has just come in and totally shifted the epicenter of the college wrestling world. What Cael and those wrestlers are doing is just so impressive.

I am so proud of our program, our coach and his great staff, and most importantly the young men working their butts off every day!!!! We are....

He has done a remarkable job. PSU is a great place despite our BOT. He knew he was coming to a special place surrounded by wrestling talent. He has earned it. So glad he came on board. Nice tribute to another tireless honorable.... PSU coach.
