I like our chances with Gillikin. Although the family got stuck in Detroit and could not make it to PSU, the fact they were coming tells a lot I think. If he were pretty set on UGA why bother with showing mom PSU ? Further, the family made a point to go to the camp to meet Coach Franklin. Again, if the decision were UGA why bother?

Not pushing his kid away, just not being the advocate that he otherwise might have been. Totally understandable, if he was someone who had a lot of respect for Joe.

I get that, Lurker, but do you think Joe would be happy with that? I don't think so. I think Franklin should tell this kid's dad, tactfully, that he shouldn't hold the incompetence and venality of the BoT against the football team. It is still a great program and a great university despite the BoT's relentless efforts to screw things up.

Hard to predict what any individual kid and family will do, but generally I have a very good feeling about 2015, this class, and every one going forward. The handwriting is on the wall, when the National champs are casting a wary eye. All of the others in the East division below OSU, MSU and Michigan need to focus on trying to stay ahead of newbie Maryland. PSU is on their way to " forgettaboutit" status. Let the good times roll in Happy Valley!

Don't get the "PSU will be back at the top again". Where did we go? NCAA tried to bury us and what did we do but have 2 winning seasons with a bowl win. So the Lion slept for a couple years, we were just resting our eyes. Lo those who kick sleeping dogs (Lions); they get bitten!
