Cary Angeline to USC

Well, not really a position of need. We are really deep at TE.
Plus we already have a good one in this class. Next year we will get a top TE as some space is cleared because of graduation. Not quite sure why he chose USC. I guess he wanted to get as far away as he could. Certainly NOT a choice because of academics.

USC is a much better school than it used to be. In fact, I'm pretty sure that they are pretty much ranked the same as us. And for certain things, like film, it is far and away better.

Luke Farrell still has PSU in his Top 4, along with Ohio State, who already has 2 4* TE's in its class.

Said "Californy is the place you ought to be"
So they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly

Hills, that is. Swimmin pools, movie stars.

And the girls are hot too!

It is strange to me that any kid wants to go to school cross-country. I would hate having my kid that far away.

He will be a little shocked at how opposite USC is to Beverly Hills. ;). Good luck to the kid at SC.

USC is a very good school.

Yes, it is a good school, actually EVERY school is a good school. But USC football focuses on FOOTBALL not academics. They are not the only school that operates that way. I like to "think" we are different.
Maybe I'm wrong and we are just like the USCs and LSUs of the world. I know the NCAA thinks so :)

Look, I wish the kid well at USC. PSU is not for everyone.
Just a tad surprising, to me, as his choice.

I did not say PSU was better just different ;-)

No offense, but I've seen him play in person. He was often split wide. So I always wondered if he can block. And if he cannot, as JF says, you are then just a slow WR. I could not believe his team did not use him in the red zone in the game I saw. I see rivals has downgraded him to a 3-star, and I believe that is probably an accurate rating based on his size.

I don't think the kid should be denigrated because he went elsewhere. That's a Lair move. This was an important kid because he was highly ranked in Pennsylvania.

Best of luck to him. I think it's a shame that his family won't be able to see him play live without some significant planning, but that is there business.

Don't diss the kid because he isn't coming here. He really never planned a visit, and many thought he was ND bound.

Not trying to denigrate the kid, just giving an opinion based on what I saw (small sample size I agree). I hope he has great success at USC. Glad he went there rather than to a rival.
