Pretty much my dream scenario if we don't win the conference--we get a home game against ND
Only thing that would make it better is if we were somehow 6 vs 11 and got Utah in the second round
I'd replace K-State with an SEC team but I think this is pretty legit so far. Iowa/USC are in battle for the Big Ten's 4th bid.

I have no faith at all that Utah will end up #3, nor Iowa getting in at all. Though it is entertaining to speculate, and would love a ND at PSU matchup.

Iowa is certainly a gamble but their schedule is a lot like our schedule only weaker. They could win 10 or 11 games to get in without proving much.

Utah is probably ranked about 9th there. Just 3rd best of the conference winners.

And yeah all in for the ND matchup...especially at home.

Time will tell, but Ole Miss looks pretty good not to be included in the 12 teams.

IMO the 5 seed is optimal if the team isn't in the top 4.

You get a home game ($$$) against the worst team to make it into the playoffs then face the 4 seed if/when you win in the quarters.

I look for Ole Miss to lose a couple games. Georgia for certain and they will trip somewhere else. They will probably still get in.

I understand, but the projections now are only a bit more relevant than if we just started talking about who we think is going to be in the 2028 college football playoffs.
