Happy for him. Seemed like a good guy and quality coach who seemed really happy to be at PSU during his limited tenure.

Great news. Charlie was a quiet "difference maker". He didn't get the attention of some of the other assistant coaches, but he did wonders with both McGloin and Hack, before something happened with both him and Vanderlinden

If we only knew the real story.

the real story aint hard to figure out on either. RV was a JVP guy, I am surprised he lasted as long as he did, that old HC gets to choose thing.

CF?? I have a feeling CF is an FCA guy, and every time BO"B and the rest of the staff dropped an F bomb, CF was saying something under his breath, a culture clash if you will

Yea. O'Brien fired him and Vanderlinden a month before he left knowing that he wasn't returning to PSU (rather than just do nothing and let the new hire figure out what he wanted to do with the existing staff that did not follow O'Brien out of town). As a matter of fact, this was the EXACT TOPIC of his "put my hand through the windshield" conversation with Douche-bag Davey Jones! (and it was the PSU fans who were upset with O'Brien's terminations because they didn't seem justified relative to the fact that O'Brien didn't fire "his favorites", such as "captain insanity" John Butler). O'Brien's treatment of Fischer most certainly was not beneficial to his career - nor were many PSU fans comfortable with his coaching terminations in late 2013 after the season that, when told of PSU fans concern with his "fairness" in these firings, drew the "put my fist through this windshield" response from classless O'Brien according to Douche-bag Davey Jones very own pen.
