Chase Singletary Top 5

i think its great that Coleman Scott and staff have so many kids thinking UNC. Guys may not go there but I like that they continue to be in these top 5 for the elite kids.

Great for the ACC and the sport in my opinion.

197 would conceivably be covered between Nevills and Cassar, but with Cutch a Junior and Rasheed's potential unknown at the higher weights, Singletary would have a decent shot of breaking into the lineup. He was giving Cassar a decent match at UWW world trials (I think Cassar was up 4-2) before Cassar went out with an injury.

He wrestled 195 last year, so he's a 157 at Poke U and 197 everywhere else.

School list is interesting. With very few exceptions, the prep kids go Ivy, Stanford, or NW. (Snyder and Manville are the most obvious exceptions. Ruth only went prep for 1 yr, and Reenan originally committed NW.). 4 of 5 being non-Ivy got my attention.

Singletary will most likely be a 197lber in college, but does have the frame to be a HWT in college. He's thinner up top, and I wouldn't be shocked to see him eventually turn into a very quick heavy weight at 230lbs.

my efforts this week at not starting new threads for new info in subjects we've discussed does not seem to be working all that well. ;) oh well

I was waiting for a reprimand from Tom after I saw his post on this subject buried at the end of another thread. I created the thread minutes after your post.

Edit: For some reason I can't add emoticons after this to show that I'm just kidding and think this is all silly.

Before Reenan decommitted, Sem had a bit of a pipeline to NW with him, McMullan and Malone.

But have you tried starting a new thread on the same subjects with no new info? That seems to be the trick

I see all these Top 5 lists, anyone know of expected decision dates for anyone? TIA. It seems late July would be reasonable if trying to visit a few yet? Perhaps we hear a few guys decide earlier Id suppose.

A lot of Prep kids go to non Ivy league schools, I would say the most successful D1 wrestlers from Prep schools have gone to others.

Sadulaev is eligible and I'm betting nobody has approached him yet. Cael should at least make an attempt. That would definitely take the wind out of the Hawk fans who are still crowing about Lee.

Thought he was announcing on the Flo show? Only Berge, Fix, and Warner left. Think they might announce early also? I'm sure there dying to make there announcements also. Iowa's big recruiting weekend is the 3rd week in Oct. I figure both Berge and Warner will be there.
