Even though the "Dead Period" began today and will last until Jan. 15 for the recruitment of Penn State's class of 2016, there is still a lot to chat about relative to Penn State's football program.

How do you like the announcement of former Fordham head coach, Joe Moorhead, as Penn State's new offensive coordinator? With Penn State's 15 Tax Slayer Gator Bowl practice session well under way, let's talk about some of the players you hope make some solid progress during Gator Bowl practice sessions.

With Paris Palmer, Derek Dowrey, Brian Gaia and Wendy Laurent graduating after the 2016 season, how important is this December's bowl practice session for Penn State's class of 2014 offensive lineman? Is this a make or break December and spring practice session for OT Noah Beh, OT/OG Brendan Brosnan, OT Chance Sorrell and OG Chasz Wright?

Can class of 2015 offensive linemen Ryan Bates, Steven Gonzalez and Sterling Jenkins make the 2-deep depth chart on the offensive line going into the 2016 season with solid December and spring practice sessions? Are redshirt freshmen defensive linemen DT/DE Ryan Buchholz, DT Kamonte Carter and DT Robert Windsor ready for prime-time? Will MLB Nyeem Wartman-White be ready for the 2016 season?

So you see there is still a lot to chat about relative to Penn State's football program and a lot of questions that need to be answered. Let's do that beginning at 1 PM this afternoon.
