Chicago Blackhawks Sex Abuse Scandal

I know a flight attendant that dated a Blackhawk for a couple of months. She said he was a physical specimen like she had never seen before. I won’t say His name.

after a few dates they got romantic on the sofa. He picked her up and carried her in the bedroom. He lay her in the bed and back up while taking his clothes off. She unbuttoned her blouse, skipped it off, then unsnapped her bra and slid it off. At that point, the guy lost his ‘control’ and dumped. BTW she looked like Chrissy from threes company at the time.

this happened again and again and again. After the fourth time she dumped him. She always figured he was quite a waste of a man.

Final thought, if you look at every major sports team over the last 40. Years I am pretty certain you’d hand the same story over and over in terms of sexual abuse. Hums Aberdeen is releasing a book stating she had a dinner with several senators. Then took a walk with one male senator. He invited her up to his room. He sat on the sofa, put his arm around her and kissed her. She backed off and he apologized saying he read the signs wrong. She is claiming this was abuse and traumatized her

Bill Guerin is under investigation for his lack of action when a sexual assault was reported to him during his days as assistant GM with the Penguins. I’ve wondered if the sudden resignation of Jim Rutherford was related. The lawsuit was filed in November 2020. JR resigned in January 2021.

For those who aren't aware, the reports of sexual abuse were advanced all the way up to Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville.

JQ said this could be Chicago's last shot at a Stanley Cup and he doesn't want any distractions derailing this team and that was that.

Looking forward to the front-page headlines, coast to coast.

Chi- a few things. First off, I really do appreciate your tenacity. As a huge JoePa supporter, I love seeing a light shined on some of these other organizations. The hypocrisy is amazing. However, I think you are truly wasting your time with these hunts.
Aside from PSU people, no one cares. You are preaching to the choir, and no one else is in the audience.
There are 2 large factors going against your desire for these findings to catch fire with the media. One, none of the people involved are as big as Joe Paterno who was still actively coaching when this went down. And two, none of these involved underage kids.

Apparently someone on NHL radio (or other media) compared what happened in Chicago to what happened at PSU, but got everything about the PSU part incorrect. There is no reason to stop trying to educate people.

The story has been written. And it was written inaccurately. And people tend to get it even more wrong when discussing it. Unfortunately, if the record has been made straight by now, it'll never be corrected. This is the sin of PSU. For laying on its sword and saying, "please sir, may I have another". They thought accepting punishment with their tail tucked between their legs would be the best thing in the long run. They couldn't have been more wrong.

The sad take-away from all of this is to never apologize or allow for any perception of possible wrong-doing. Spanier had it right and Joe unfortunately dug his own grave with his honest "benefit of hindsight" remarks.

I was once a proud defender of everything PSU soon after the scandal, but I've given up the fight. Now, PSU is simply a school that has sports teams that I pull for. I love watching them, but other than that, PSU has lost much of what it was to me. The irony is, I am now what they accused me of being before the scandal.
