Matt beating Christian out is one of those imponderable decisions made by the Raiders but is great news indeed.
Well deserved. Matt clearly won it on the field. The man knows how to take control and his team mates respect it.
what is perplexing is why the Raiders organization seems to look for a new #2 each year. he seems to be a solid backup for them, but if they don't need him I bet they could actually do okay in a trade with some other teams. They have invested the $$$ in their new guy Carr, but MM seems to be ready to help at any time, and not lose too much.
I just gazed at silverandblackpride . Com and the fans love the dude and there are some great photoshops of Matt in the comments. Good for him. One of the best PSU stories in the last 20 years.
Matt beat out a good qb. Christian Ponder is pretty good and his wife must be even better as a sideline reporter. I wouldn't think Derek Carr has much of an upside over either of those guys. Congrats to Matt. I guess i'm a Raider fan again. Sorry to see Wisniewski is no longer there.
