Football Circa Releases Big Ten Conference Win Odds for 2025 Season

Some of those predictions are rather shocking. Looking at schedules, they have Ohio state losing to Texas. That is fair but Michigan will have a lot to say about that. I don't see anyone else beating them. I would set the win total for Michigan at 10 if not 10.5. I would put Oregon at 11. Iowa at 9.5, same as us. We do have a shot at 10 given the potentially weak schedule. As is, without any surprises, this year looks like it will be one of the five weakest schedules we have played since joining the Big Ten. 24 was by far the weakest followed by 22 and 23.

Take Illinois and 7.5.
Not bad advice, they have six near locks on their schedule. Might want to take the under on Wisconsin. They could be significantly improved and you would never know it playing at Bama, at Michigan, Iowa, Ohio State and Oregon over a six game stretch. They close with Washington, at Indiana, Illinois and at Minnesota. I don't see them not losing 8.

I could be wrong but Michigan doesn’t have a QB at least proven. I think a lot of people had hopes for Underwood being a star which he could still be but supposedly had a dud in the spring game. Also Michigan lost a lot to the draft this past year and Moore is no where near the coach Harbaugh was.

Also I think Ohio State will have a down year.

A month ago you were downplaying our win total given how substantially more difficult our schedule will be in 2025. Now our schedule sucks.

Our schedule is substantially more difficult than 24. No mistakes there because 24 was the easiest schedule we have probably played since Rip was the coach. A schedule that is substantially more difficult than the easiest schedule ever is still pretty easy historically. We are a long way from the 90s and 00s when we routinely played very hard schedules annually. What we play now is closer to MAC level than most want to admit.

Did you watch them play in November or look at their schedule? They were more competitive against Oregon than we were when the game was over in the first half. They were competitive against Indiana that had better wins than we did. That is an 11 win team if they are as good as they were after Halloween.

I have us at #4 right now. Maybe 5 or 6 when all is said and done. We have never been better than the third best team in the Big Ten under Franklin. That seems to be the ceiling.
I cannot believe you have been posting these types of comments for years and nobody calls you out. How could we be 5 or 6 in the Big 10 this year? I mean it's a free country and I guess the people just ignore what you say. Which I should start doing too. I personally get antagonized at worst, irked at best by your commentary. I guess i'll really make a conscious effort to look at it as humor. It's all over the top and laughable so maybe it's just parody of some sort. You got me good.

You have to be trolling at this point. Penn State was down 8 at halftime and lost by 8. Michigan was down 18 at half and lost by 21, but you think Michigan played then better than Penn State did?

And that "mighty" Michigan team is gonna win 10+ this year after graduating all the highly talented kids they recruited that couldn't win 8 games without Stallions. Welcome to Peggy Pigeon's World.

1994 we went undefeated with our signature win versus then #5 ranked Michigan who finished 8-4.

I guess this run was the result of playing a lot of great teams:
2000 - 5-7
2001 - 5-6
2002-9-4
2003 - 3-9
2004 - 4-7

they may not have a coach either.

I’m just surprised wallace wet dream doesn’t have us at -10 wins - what a tool.

I've never been nor ever will be a Big Ten fan but for Wallace B to claim that the level of play in the conference is close to MAC level is one of the dumbest things l ve read

You will always notice that:

1. If we beat Iowa (insert any Big 10 team here), they were no good.

2. If they beat us, it's another good team that Franklin can't beat.

And the conference that won the last two national championships.

It is beginning to look like NIL has leveled the pay between the B1G and SEC. All players now get paid, not just those in the SEC.

Agreed, yet you keep trying to make it anyway.
Except the data is on my side as it always is because my opinions are informed by data, not emotion. Look at Iowa. We beat them in 2023. They played three good teams and they were shut out by all three. That is not a good team. Go look at past games against Iowa. When we beat them, they are not good teams. Same for Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin. It goes on and on. We only beat them in down years under Franklin. It is why he is batting less than 10% against anyone with a pulse lifetime. The sooner you wake up, the better.

A number of analysts have PSU #1 in the nation while others have us #3 in the BiG.
Flip a coin between Oregon, PSU, and OSU. I believe all 3 make the Playoffs along with Illinois. That PSU-OSU game will be a block buster.
