We've taken some hits here of late, which makes me think about how CJF handles recruiting, communicates his expectations to those who commit to us regarding their further contact/visit with other schools, and how deep he goes with back-up offers "just in case?"

This is not a criticism, but rather an open question.

I don't know him well enough yet to have many answers, but I understood he expects NO visits, but not sure that was hard and fast.

I also understand he is dealing with UM and OSU recruiters who don't hesitate to go after our commits, and Ive read in here that we are now doing the same, with UI and RU recruits, to name a couple.

Apparently going after a commit is now done by many on a routine basis.

Another action by some is pulling a scholarship at any point prior to LOI day without a valid reason, like grade issues, poor behavior, etc. Apparently UM and OSU do that as their list of commits go up, while we don't. Possibly by honoring all offers, we box ourselves in and can wind up thin at certain positions.

So I wonder If those who follow this sort of thing in greater detail than I have seen a pattern that would paint a clearer picture of how we operate and how the BT operates these days? Is it open season on commits? Is that practice followed by all or most BT teams or just a few?

Any other observations on how recruiting has changed in recent years? Thanks.
