Red herring. They weren’t classified, and the FBI/DOJ knew it. The President is THE singular and final authority for declass. He can literally say the words , and “wave his fingers”, and papers are declassified . Nobody else has this authority, and he need not consult anyone else. —The FBI wanted the declassified Crossfire Hurricane documents ( as they are criminally liable moving forward…..see Durham). — The President also has a secured SCIF with multiple secret service agents located there. —Security was never at risk, or the FBI would have moved in when the search warrant was signed ….. several days prior.

DNI is free to investigate. The FBI had 2 weeks to review the documents and had not sought any further search warrants. How sensitive could the info be if the FBI didn’t do anything in 2 weeks? DNI has plenty of resources to pursue the investigation. Hopefully they don’t spend their day leaking to the WaPo instead of working.

What leaks? Trump himself called for the search warrant (including the list showing items taken) to be made public, and he also called for the Affidavit submitted in support of the application for the search warrant to be made public. The DOJ tried NOT to have that published, but the court overseeing the case insisted on it. The various court filings are generally public records.

DOJ made public very little, blacking out most of the affidavit. The DOJ has leaked “stuff” all along — unless the WaPo has been making stuff up attributed to sources close to the investigation. Your choice. Stuff like nuclear secrets which are not in pleadings but some people here claim as truth.
Please don’t insult us by claiming the affidavit is public. The redactions are more than substantial.

That's really funny. Jmarnp should just throw in the towel. "They weren't classified." Even Trump's own attorneys are not making that claim. In their latest court filing, Cheeto's attorneys state, in defense of Cheeto, that "some documents may have been unclassified." SOME documents?! MAY HAVE been?! Talk about mealy mouthed. But that's what you do when you don't have any good facts to work with.
