Am I the only one in shock about the incredible LACK of coverage regarding the Clemson suspensions for using PEDs? Three players test positive. Doesn't that raise the concern that maybe, just maybe, more players are using those same products?

I don't understand the "pass" the media gives to Clemson and Dabo. It's like they are untouchable. The nonsensical "excuses" or possibilities that Clemson has given are laughable.

Can you imagine if 3 OSU or ND or USC players were suspended for PEDs? The headlines in every sports article and on ESPN would be speculation on "rampant" PED use, the impact on the games during the season, etc etc. But its almost like they feel bad for Clemson and the players without any concept of what it suggests.

I just don't get it.

Because Dabo said it was all a big mistake and that it probably came from a hair product they were using. Nothing to see here, move along.

Can you imagine if it was PSU. The media would spend two weeks discussing our horrible culture.

Relax, it came from the pool floaties. Nothing to see here, move along.
After all, we had a team doctor molest 100s of athletes, multiple administrators aware of it, including direct boss who also had sexual assault accusations, and barely a discussion.
There is money to be made.

Dabo Swinney makes more than $5mm a year. He's a turd.

We try to teach our guys, use football to create the opportunities. Take advantage of the platform and the brand and the marketing you have available to you. But as far as paying players, professionalizing college athletics, that's where you lose me. I'll go do something else, because there's enough entitlement in this world as it is.

Where will you go Dabo? Full of sh*t.

If Dabo weren't a football coach, he'd be selling automobiles or real estate.

He'd be pushing that TruCoat for sure...

FWIW:

I think the NCAA selects about 15 guys per team for testing at the “Playoff” games.

So..... that means that between Bama and Clemson, they each had about 20% + - of their kids test positive.

Why don’t they test them all? Only testing a select random few is GROSSLY unfair..... right?

Well..... imagine the outrage if each team lost 15-20 kids due to drug testing...... which is what would happen if they tested them all.
By only testing a few - - - and hoping that the stoopid public is not aware of what actually goes on - - - they can PR things as if only a kid here or there gets caught with hot piss.

LOL
The NCAA.

USED Automobiles (with rebuilt titles)

Maybe they should test Dabo. There is something going on in that cranium that's not found in the average human.

I've read that anywhere from 9 to 15 players were randomly selected to be testing. Seems to me if any of those players fail the test then another group of players from that team should be randomly tested. If any more from that second group fail then the whole team needs to be tested, at the expense of the team. How else can they truly catch all cheating players and teams?

ESPN Is a joke.
Honestly, do we think there wouldn’t be any Penn State players that would fail a PED test? And am I correct that no ND players or Oklahoma players failed?

Different orientation. Objective of the NCAA is to detect and punish individual players who may be using PEDs, not, certainly not, teams. Therein my lie the problem. But should we expect anything different from the NCAA?

I doubt, very much, that ND would even lose a public relations-news media war regarding this sir.

Just ask the Lizzie Seeberg family.

I think this was the very first thread i have ever liked every post! Nice job, ladies and gents. Seems we're all pretty much in agreement (for once) :)

That will send the message to the players....don't be the one that causes the embarrassment of the whole team being tested. Don't be that player.

Your second random testing isn’t a statistically valid. Either you reject the entire populatin or perform 100% inspection.

I know of a WPIAL 'kid' back in the day, who went to WISCY.

Before any type of testing or suspected testing, the WISCY staff would give the players that modern-day WIZ cleaner to help them, back then, appear clean and thereby pass the test.

This was under Barry Alvarez.

True story as it was told to me by a very, very close friend of THE player.

I know, I know,…..lacks credibility but that was the word.

The Clemson kid had a poignant sitdown with Tom Rinaldi for whatever that's worth.
