The shock is how he was able to do so well at American but not have the same or better results at ouThe one word I wouldn't have used is "shocker". Except maybe that it occurred in August rather than April/May.

Agreed but you'd still think he'd be able to have better results Sanderson was still able to attract great talent to isu and a school like Lehigh has still managed to do well for themselves with psu not to far awayHard to get the studs away from Smith just like Cal could not get them away from Brands when at ISU. Talking in state.

Excited for OU because I think they may shock us w the new hire. They want to win and they want bedlam to be more than tognetti's family at the dinner table.
They want to win and they want bedlam to be more than tognetti's family in the stands.
Don't kid yourself 61, have you looked in the mirror lately?Hey, my family is always in the stands! We are in better shape than the pic's Togs has shared, though....
Cody has needed to go-some bad decisions recruiting has doomed him. Lightner I don't believe, like most others, is the answer. Should be an interesting hire!
ummm... he is a Georgia boy. I suspect he'll go to an SEC school (following the line of logic of Missouri in the SEC)Now Milhof said he plans to leave is looking at Virginia Tech, ASU, Ohio State, UNC, and NC State

jtothemfp, one correction...Millhof competed as a true freshman in 2014-15...he has two years of eligibility left, and a RS to burn.
not sure, but I thought he improved a lot between true fresh and soph yearsWhoa. I remember him competing a bit, but thought it was while redshirting. Did he start with the intent to shirt and then later had his RS 'pulled?'
Unless Millhof changed his name to Stoops, OU's AD isn't getting involved.Interesting. Anybody have any sense how vindictive/reasonable the OU AD is? Is Milhof likely to be granted an immediate release? He burned his RS in 2015, AA'd as a RSFR in 2016 (got majored by Gilman in the quarters, OT'd Cruz in R12, got decked by Peters, then squeaked Schram for 7th) and has 3 years of eligibility remaining.
If allowed to depart freely without university administrative douchery, Sparky would be almost fully fortified across all ten weights and multiple years if they slotted in a SO AA at perhaps their weakest weight.
Depending on where you fall on the NaTo to 133 Debate, Tan Tom could answer the Pletcher/Rodriguez situation (plus burn a few partial schollies and some more recruiting relationships), by bringing in Milhof & bumping NaTo.
Otherwise, if he passed on a midwest tan and wanted to get closer to his Georgia home:
1. Va Tech: he'd have to burn a year on the bench while Dance dances his last dance
2. NC State: he'd probably bounce SO Fausz if Pop let em compete and was cool with that
3. UNC: might be the most appealing. Would definitely bounce Tyrone Klump to start this year, could work with Coleman Scott & Ramos, and could then battle Dance & Fausz in intercollegiate comp instead of in the rooms.
I'd guess it'll come down to Sparky vs UNC, while money & geography weigh into the decision.
Which makes VaTech an option. He could redshirt Dance's final season. He also doesn't need a release wherever he decides if he plans to rs this coming season.jtothemfp, one correction...Millhof competed as a true freshman in 2014-15...he has two years of eligibility left, and a RS to burn.

If he doesn't get his release, does he lose a year of eligibility or can that year lost be his redshirt year. I thought he would lose a year of actual competing
Pretty sure he is out regardless....article mentioned oh state. Maybe means Tomasello up and Milhoff at 25???
More like the Long March ...the imperil March begins to play...
