Be interesting to follow this with the remaining games. If theyvstart to falter, does interest and fan support drop off?
His team may be exposed in the next two games, but I can't remember a single person who has taken such a short time to become the preeminent face of college football, especially this season when there does not seem to be a truly great team. In spite of all the hype that surrounds him, maybe he just is a football savant and, if nothing else, a great manager of young men. If his success continues, I definitely could see him moving to the NFL in a few years.
They've got some difficult games now upcoming. Oregon, USC, UCLA, Oregon State, Washington State and Utah all ranked.Be interesting to follow this with the remaining games. If theyvstart to falter, does interest and fan support drop off?
I believe he genuinely cares about the players on his team but continues to come across as too much "Prime" for my liking. His team may be exposed in the next two games, but I can't remember a single person who has taken such a short time to become the preeminent face of college football, especially this season when there does not seem to be a truly great team. If he keeps inferring that everybody doubted him and is against him, his act will get old real fast; I hope that he doesn't resort to this because he doesn't have to. He already has proved that he is a good football coach at Jackson State and CU. Also, it's clear that he's the coach of a lot of talented players.I believe he genuinely cares about the players on his team but continues to come across as too much "Prime" for my liking.
They could go 6-6 and it's a huge success this year. They've got some difficult games now upcoming. Oregon, USC, UCLA, Oregon State, Washington State and Utah all ranked.
That’s most likely recordThey could go 6-6 and it's a huge success this year.
I thought that was their ceiling before the year but we've also seen Pac XII teams that were allegedly great completely implode. If Hunter was healthy I'd feel like 7 or 8 was possible. If nothing else people will be watching to see what they pull offThat’s most likely record
The hype will definitely calm down after Colorado loses a game or two but fans will still be excited if they can finish 8-4.Be interesting to follow this with the remaining games. If theyvstart to falter, does interest and fan support drop off?
Sanders kid can play. They are soft on lines which will cost them in next few weeks. No, it will go to the administration salaries and pointless capital projects. It’s the American way in higher education. So, is the University lowering tuition because of this great windfall of money?
This feels a lot like the talking heads exhalting FTX and SBF as the warren buffet of crypto.Be interesting to follow this with the remaining games. If theyvstart to falter, does interest and fan support drop off?
You think Prime plans on being there in 3 years? This feels a lot like the talking heads exhalting FTX and SBF as the warren buffet of crypto.
Maybe neon deion is the next coming of nick saban, maybe not...but one off-season in the transfer portal and 3 games is too early to tell how successful CU will be in 3-5 yrs.
well, he certainly didn't care much about the players from colorado's last year's team.I believe he genuinely cares about the players on his team but continues to come across as too much "Prime" for my liking.
Why would he care about players he didn't know and didn't recruit? And truthfully him running them off is best for them if they actually want to play. He didn't want them. Why would they want to be there?well, he certainly didn't care much about the players from colorado's last year's team.
Sanders may have set a new model for the NIL decade. New coach, no problem just get rid of the old players and go "recruit new money and new players" ...wala, better team. I'm not sure this model is the best for college football.
Now, boosters get to buy tickets, contribute to players scholarship funds, pay for "seat licenses" and contribute to NIL organizations to "buy" better players - who might leave after one year for a higher NIL offer.
thats a great statement. We should apply it more to life in general...I don't know you, so i'm running you off...find another jobWhy would he care about players he didn't know and didn't recruit? Right--the media created too much around it but it doesn't change that even with 3 wins their improvement this year is significant in one year. I don't think people really fell for it. See the spread--that tells you how people are betting.Colorado is a perfect example of the media creating a false narrative and everyone fell for it. I like Deion Sanders I think he brought excitement to the game but to think this team was a top 25 team us ridiculous. Last week they were 21 pt favorite and squeaked by. This week losing 35-0 at halftime and only have 21 yds at the half.
the entire company(team?) Have to admit, I've never seen that. But we're going far off path from my comment that the sanders model of replacing an entire team through NIL is not good for college football. If you think otherwise, you're entitled to your opinion ---so am I.Are you pretending that doesn't happen?
You're entitled to your opinion. Not sure what you mean by good for college football though. It's been great based on the attention he's got for the sport.the entire company(team?) Dear God. You are insufferable. I have no idea where sanders will be. The one thing I do know is that you never feel compelled to keep a thought in your head and not post it in this forum, whether you really understand the subject or not.You think Prime plans on being there in 3 years?
He's already insanely successful this season. Most thought Colorado would win 2 games. This board has an entire thread discussing how mad they'd be. I get people don't like his approach but trying to pretend it didn't work doesn't make sense it. It did. Compare him to Rhule right now...and they played each other.
They won 1 game last year 3...many said they couldn't win more than 2 this year. You just don't like how he's doing things and can't acknowledge it. It's okay. I get it.Dear God. In this case, your reply is not even addressing the main point of my post. It's been 3 games against teams that may not be any good. It's absurd to call it "insanely successful" unless your judging by internet searches.
SBF was all smoke and mirrors and propaganda. The sports media are talking about Neon Deion like the financial media talked about SBF....time will tell.

Read any thread here about him prior to the start of the season.Oh give me an f'ing break - they looked like a team that could lose all of their PACXII games. Your bullshit about everyone saying they couldn't win more than 2 games is laughable - so you polled "everyone" and they all said there was no way they could win more than 2 games???
The sooner the flash of Colorado dies down the better. Don't think for a second all the glitz and attention would not draw in recruits in droves. For sure the rest of the country would rather not have to deal with Neon Dion on the recruiting trail.
