Compared to the Rose Bowl, people at the Beav know how to move a crowd in and out.

The Rose Bowl is a great venue but it is tough to get in and out of, and the parking situation was awful, particularly finding everything in the dark after the game. You really can appreciate how well the people at the Beav handle an even bigger crowd.

This was my exact feeling after the game. I have been to the last (3) Penn State Rose Bowl games and it's no comparison to Beaver stadium in any aspect. The neighborhood setting and backdrop is great but outside of that the stadium truly needs bulldozed. The staff seems disconnected from the event. Next year;s Rose Bowl game will be a playoff game on 1/1/18. I don't think you have all the Rose Bowl events because its a playoff game. No Beef Bowl, Disneyland, etc. I really hope they move the game to the new stadium being built in Inglewood, sometime in the future. UCLA would be smart to move there. Life in a modern stadium is so much nicer...

It's been since 1994, so not sure if they've updated, but when we played Temple @ Franklin Field in Philly, that place was scary.

We took train and shuttle to Rose Bowl. It was rough getting into stadium. After the game, we immediately left after FG and quickly got on shuttle and train without delay. However from the tailgating scene,I did think that those parked there would find difficulty leaving.

Some people took 3 td restroom breaks as the lines were embarrassingly long

Absolutely. That's why I never go to a Big Game when it is in Palo Alto. Takes FOREVER to get outta there.

We went to Stanford vs Oregon the week we moved out here in 2013, and we sat in the parking lot for about 2 hours after the game.

I remember the 2005 Orange Bowl in Miami Dolphin stadium. There was one exit out of the parking lot that went onto a road with a light that didn't have a cop there. We were one of the first in the lots so that meant one of the last out. As you remember that game went multiple OT's and was late to end to begin with. I think we sat about 2.5 hours before finally getting out of the lot and that is because we had to drive back to the west side of Florida and we got tired of waiting in the 'normal' line and weaved our way through cars to the front. It would have been at least 3.5 to 4 hours for all the cars to get out of that lot.

This can't be right. I'm sure I was told our athletic department is full of overpaid assistant ADs in charge of entrance, egress, parking, RV parking etc who do a HORRIBLE job.

I think the Rose Bowl is a death trap. Those small tunnels cannot handle the traffic of 95,000 people. If there were ever an emergency there, it would be disastrous. I was in a tunnel for at least 10 minutes, and that was after sitting at the end of the tunnel where a girl hold a sign "tunnel full" would not let anyone else in. Can't get in and you can't get out easy. Still glad I went, but the stadium in my opinion is a dump.

We had a long walk back to Lot 4, but got right out and on the highway. I imagine the backups were lots 1-3.

However, long, slow line just to park in Lot 4.

Wow, talk about something I never thought I'd read on this board. It seems there are weekly complaints about Beaver Stadium ingress/egress, bathroom lines, parking lot attendants, etc.

That Orange Bowl game was no picnic arriving, either. We missed the first score (tho I heard the roar of the crowd, so there's that...) because parking was such a cluster.

Funny, I don't recall a problem leaving. Of course, that could be because I was so giddy over the result of the game!
