Ive seen comments on here about how Hack, McSorely, Stevens, Zembiec might compare, as to straight line speed. The comment was: "not as much difference as you might expect."
Ive not seen many specifics on quickness and instincts yet, but will be looking forward to them.
I am also hoping someone might be more current than I am on how these four do compare - their 40 times, and in other more qualitative areas that are tougher to measure.
Where Im coming from is the ability to react, adjust, and get the job done. Too often, Hack seemed glued in place, stepping through his options like he was in molasses. Wrapped up in thought but with little sense of when to run. My gut says the new QBs, after they settle in, will appear to be a lot faster than Hack. Which one starts, who knows? But we will need a couple of QB threats to get through the season with MOJOs more dynamic QB involvement, and higher risk of getting dinged.
So how do we see the three candidates, compared to each other , but first of all, compared to Hack? We are also watching how a radically new O compares to the Old O. And how younger, more talented players fit together to make things work. How that will turn out remains to be seen, but I feel way more optimistic this year, compared to last, And one of the key components is who and how well the new QB performs,
And so I return to the speed, quickness, instincts, and leadership qualities of three fine young men who are just beginning to discover how good they can be, Your thoughts and opinions are welcome.
