Yes, I recall his dad from my roommate’s time as a small HWT in the room. IIRC dad was in the 205-210 range (can anyone confirm?) I think John Place was trying to cut to 190 as well probably from 215-220. Dave, my roomie, had been trying the descent from mid 220’s when he broke an ankle.

I believe Jan has 2 Natty rings. He was on both the 16/17 and 17/18 rosters. Great young man!

What a great story. Kid is an athlete and has filled out. Would have been a great wrestler, too, had he stuck with it as he is a very solid 235lbs now.

It is a great thing to see for him... I do think Luketa will be the starter before to long.. that kid has multi year starter and team captain written all over him but I am thrilled for JJ to start the season as the #1.
