Congrats to Sean Lee on a great career with The Cowboys...

Perhaps he holds on for 1-2 more years with another team but I would hope he walks. He got that second big contact and he has his health. I think he has a great career as a D assistant. I catch his weekly call in show on Dallas sports radio and he has an excellent mind. I will really miss having him here in Dallas.
Is he being dismissed from "America's Team"?

I'd like to see Lee play in Pittsburgh for a year or two and bring some leadership to that group.. Also Re ro's sig. I personally think his last one of the jiggly blonde is the best

This is great news, if true, as a) Lee will finally be free of "Jerrah's Team" and b) I can go back to hating the Cowboys without any regret.

I think Lee would have a great career in broadcasting, although I too would like to see him coaching at his alma mater.

LOL, I dont' even think Sean Lee could help that organization right now. I never thought I'd see The Steelers at the point they are right now. SMH.
They, Tomlin or whomever are firing the wrong people...ok yea Porter needed to go but I've yet to hear a good reason for getting rid of the RB coach.
Antonio is a cancer and Ben isn't far behind.

When Sean was playing at Penn State I was working on a project with another company from Pittsburgh. The PM for the other company coached Sean in little league and I think midget football. He said he was the smartest, toughest and most coachable kid he ever encountered. I remember him saying that Lee would make a great coach one day.

Re: your sig pic...I just want to reiterate that someone on this board within the past 2 months said that ER is "pretty" but not "sexy." Which is why no one should ever bother considering anything anyone says on here ever.
I take everything said here with a Penn Dot truck load of salt.

It was awesome having a Penn State great play so well for my favorite Pro team. I just wish he could have stayed healthy. I agree with you, and would prefer he starts his next career (hopefully as a coach) than linger on through more injuries.

I recall being at a Tom Bradley speaking event where he recalled he's never seen a more competitive duo in his entire life.

i hope he hangs it up. he should have plenty of money saved. has enough time for the nice NFL pension. No reason to risk CTE worsening or other injury for a free agent contract. As mentioned, he wants to stay part of football then announcing or coaching would be an easy transition for him.

Has Sean officially entered the transfer portal? That's a prerequisite for being beamed back to Penn State. I wish him the best in his post-NFL career.

I remember him getting inserted as a Tfr in the Orange against FSU after one of the backers went down. He played good and smart for only being a college player a few months. Was highly impressed.

a little understated, perhaps ... that "one of the backers" was none other than Paul Posluszny ... among the better LBs ever to wear the generic whites.

I love Sean Lee, probably my favorite player, but I never understood the notion that every decent player would make a good coach. I know Lee understand the game, but that is prob a small part of coaching. X/O and translating stuff to players is a huge part.

Bradley was asked when Poz went down was he concerned playing a true freshman LB in that game , he said something like not in the least.

Lee has gotten continued rave reviews for helping out on the sidelines when he was injured.....both at PSU and at Dallas. And these comments have come from coaching staff members AND fellow players.

Not sure IF he wants to get into coaching after his NFL career is over, but there is no doubt in my mind he would be a strong addition to any coaching staff, CFB or NFL.

Back when the sandusky scandal erupted, Lee made statements showing he had bought into the false narrative. Frankly, Lee was clueless. Hopefully he's figured it out since then.

It's a message board rite of passage. Popular player = good potential future coach.

Sean was supposedly a very bright student at USC before enrolling at PSU, and I suspect that his family brought him up to value his education and to be the professional he was as a player. His Dad is a Lawyer here in Pittsburgh and I believe the family still lives in USC. With the contracts Sean has had as a player and his family as well, Sean won't need to consider money as much as some others do if he now chooses to go on to his life's work. So I suspect all options are on the table for him going forward.
